Krogan Reciclare Projects 2019

Recycling Workshops

Between March 5th - March 9th, 2019 , we resumed hosting recycling workshops together with the Tot Mai Verde Association from Brașov , in schools across the county. Through these, we aimed to inform and educate children of different ages about recycling: why we should recycle and how to do it.

We aimed for these workshops to be as interactive as possible, encouraging active participation from the children. We were glad to see great openness, receptivity, and curiosity from the students.

The "Recycling Champion" Game

Together with our partners, to make the workshops even more attractive, we launched a memory game. It is a game where students have to match a card showing recyclable waste with a card showing a colored bin, specific to each type of waste.

The first test was a real success, the children played and better understood which waste goes where.

Adapted for older children

For the older children, we adapted the information, and as an interactive part, we directly exemplified which waste is recyclable, which is not, and in which container it should be placed. We showed them how they can quickly tell if a material can be recycled.

Through concrete examples, bringing recyclable materials and showing them directly, we ensured that the information was received properly. The students even had the opportunity to ask questions where there were uncertainties. We were happy to clarify them!

We will not stop here with the recycling workshops and the education of the community regarding recycling and environmental protection.
